With reference to your letter of the 29th May, I

am directed to state that His Excellency the Officer Administering

the Government proposes to forward to the Secretary of State for

the Colonies the suggestion made by Sir Henry May that you should

draw an additional non-pensionable personal allowance of $300 a year until your retirement.

If you wish to make my further representations

regarding the matter, His Excellency is prepared to forward them.
